Cookie policy

Version 2026-10-11, effective from 11 October 2026.

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser to remember things from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next. Here you'll find the ones www.salentoswingfestival.it uses, what they do and how long they last. Who handles your data and how to exercise your rights is explained in our privacy policy.

Technical cookies, always on

The site needs them to work, so they don't require your consent.

  • ssf_sid: keeps your session open while you browse and protects our forms from being submitted by other sites. It lasts until you close your browser.
  • ssf_lang: remembers the language you picked. It lasts 4 months, renewed on every visit.
  • ssf_consent: remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask you on every page. It lasts 6 months.

Internal statistics, always on

  • ssf_vid: a random code that lets us recognise the same browser from one visit to the next, for our own internal statistics (for example how many people come back and which campaigns bring them). These statistics stay on our server and we don't share them with anyone. It lasts 13 months from your first visit. Why we use it and how you can object is explained in our privacy policy.

Statistics cookies, only with your consent

We only use them if you accept them. They help us understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited most and which channels bring visitors, with Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited:

  • _ga: a random code that tells one browser from another in our statistics. It lasts 2 years, renewed on every visit.
  • _ga_ followed by the code of our Google Analytics property: remembers your current visit. It lasts 2 years, renewed on every visit.

If you don't accept these cookies, Google Analytics still measures visits, but without cookies and without any code that recognises you from one page to the next: it only receives generic information about the page and your actions (for example signing up for updates), which Google uses for statistical estimates. Our privacy policy explains this.

How Google handles data is explained in its privacy policy.

Advertising cookies, only with your consent

We only use them if you accept them. They help us measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and show them to people who might be interested in the Festival. They belong to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited:

  • _fbp: recognises your browser for Meta. It lasts 3 months.
  • _fbc: remembers your click on one of our ads, if you arrive from Facebook or Instagram. It lasts 3 months.

Meta may also use its own cookies, stored on the facebook.com domain: they are described in its cookie policy. How Meta handles data is explained in its privacy policy.

How you choose and how to change your mind

  • On your first visit we ask what you accept: you can accept all, reject all or choose category by category. If you close the window with the X, it's the same as rejecting every cookie that needs your consent.
  • You can change your mind at any time from "Review your cookie choices", at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw a consent, we delete that category's cookies from your browser: _ga and _ga_ for statistics, _fbp and _fbc for advertising.
  • Your choice lasts 6 months. We'll only ask again sooner if the cookies we use change.
  • You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, such as the language you picked, may not remember you.
