The Swing Valley Band magically evokes the atmosphere of the famous venues of Harlem of the 30s:The Cotton Club, the Savoy and the Paramount. The band’s leader and conductor, Giorgio Cuscito is a multi-instrumentalist and an arranger as well as the finest icon of the Italian Swing dancing music.

The Swing Valley Band consists of:

Giorgio Cuscito - conduct, arrangements, tenor sax,
Mario Caporilli - trumpet
Ferdy Coppola - tenor sax, voice
Gino Cardamone - guitar,
Alberto Antonucci - contrabass (double-bass)
Fabiano Giovannelli - drums
Monica Gilardi - voice

The repertoire of the band is precisely selected for swing and lindy-hop dances, which have recently made their comeback to the ballrooms, and it is also one of the rare occasions to listen to live music straight from the 78 RPM recordings such as Duke Ellington, Jimmy Lunceford, Chick Webb, Count Basie, Louis Jordan and Cab Calloway, simply speaking - a real "Harlem Renaissance”!

The Swing Valley Band will perform for the first time in Salento during the free-entry parties on the great stage of “Lungomare degli Eroi di Otranto” and they will rock it!
